Yi House Studio is the living expression of Jaylyn Pua's two decades of practice — a place where calligraphy, culture, and community meet.
Jaylyn Pua is one of Malaysia's most recognised independent calligraphers — a practitioner whose work blends artistry, craftsmanship, and heartfelt storytelling into every brushstroke.
Her practice spans over two decades, during which she has collaborated with international luxury brands, led corporate and private workshops, and created hundreds of bespoke commissioned pieces for clients across Asia.
Jaylyn works across classical styles — from structured kaishu to the flowing freedom of caoshu — adapting her voice to the piece, the commission, and the moment. Her signature red seal stamp on every work is a mark of authorship and full presence.
Yi House Studio began as a personal practice and grew into something larger — a space where art, culture, and community could live together. The name 藝家 says it simply: 藝 for art, 家 for home. Here, art finds a home.
Founded by Jaylyn, the studio was built on the belief that calligraphy deserves a modern, welcoming space — one that honours its deep cultural roots while remaining open and accessible to all.
Today, Yi House offers classes, bespoke events, commissions, and creative experiences that bring people closer to this ancient art form — one brushstroke at a time.
We believe in doing things with care — in the quality of a stroke, the thoughtfulness of a class, and the beauty of a finished piece.
Every work, every workshop, and every interaction is honest. No performance, no pretense — just the real language of art.
Yi House is a home. Everyone who walks through our doors belongs here — from seasoned artists to those holding a brush for the first time.
